Sarah Aldinger (she/her/elle) is a third-year JD/JID student at the University of Victoria. A second-generation settler of mixed Lebanese and European ancestry, she was born and raised on the traditional territories of the Kanien’keha:ka, also known as Montréal, QC. She completed her Master of Arts in Political Science at Concordia University, where her thesis explored the protection of old-growth ecosystems through legal personhood and Rights of Nature frameworks. That work continues to inform her interests in constitutional law, ecological law, Indigenous self-governance, and the protection of the more-than-human world. In her free time, Sarah enjoys running, surfing, mountain biking, and spending time on the land.
