Kevin Berk is a settler of European descent who has most recently lived in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw. In order to join the ELC as an articled student, Kevin is on leave from his doctoral studies at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of law, where he additionally serves as a research fellow at the Marine & Environmental Law Institute. Kevin previously graduated with a JD from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law and an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School. Kevin has gained valuable clinical experience through participating in the University of Windsor’s Transnational Environmental Law Clinic and serving as a Graduate Fellow at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Environmental Justice and Sustainability Clinic. Kevin’s research focuses on the relationship between property, environmental and Indigenous rights. He is grateful for the opportunity to learn from, and be a part of, the ELC community.
